Kilimanjaro, Denali, Elbrus, Aconcagua, Carstensz Pyramid, Vinson, and Everest. Mountains that look down on the world below - the towering high-points on each of the seven continents. To climb the Seven Summits of the world is a physical and logistical challenge that only a few have been able to complete.
The Seven Summits of Phoenix embraces various ages, abilities, and fitness levels to challenge an individual's mind and body while enhancing the quality of life and promoting healthy outdoor and adaptive recreation. Train to challenge yourself, as well as educateyourself on the desert ecosystem, increasing your environmental awareness, outdoor etiquette, and conservation efforts within yourself and the community.

Over the course of the Seven Summits of Phoenix, you will link the City's parks and preserves together by hiking to the highest point in seven of the city's mountain parks and preserves. These are not the highest peaks of the Valley, anymore than the Seven Summits are the seven highest peaks in the world. Do not be dismayed, however, at completion you will have hiked over 22 miles with a combined elevation gain over 6,000 feet.
